Confidence – an ongoing process
“People tell me that I have a lot of self-confidence. I wasn’t born with it though. No one is. Confidence is something that we have to work on, some of us more than others. It is a lifelong pursuit. If you have started to try some of the exercises in this book, then that’s fantastic. You have taken some really important steps towards building and instilling a greater sense of confidence in yourself. You now need to keep building it – for life! It’s something that needs constant attention because we live in a world where we can be presented with any number of challenging situations at any given time, and these situations, in general, tend to deflate our confidence. I speak from experience. Whenever I have taken a knock, either professionally or personally, my confidence has been dented as well. So I need to build it back up again.”
